STAR ISLAND

Star Island is an oval-shaped artificial island in Biscayne Bay, within the City of Miami Beach. Created by Carl Fisher, Star Island is south of the Venetian Islands and just east of Palm Island and Hibiscus Island. With 35 home sites on the island, it is connected to the MacArthur Causeway and the rest of Miami Beach by Bridge Road. 

Many of the rich and famous, as Shaquille O'Neal, Lenny Kravitz, Will Smith, Gloria Estefan, Rosie O'Donnell, Madonna, Alex Rodriguez, P.Diddy, or Sylvester Stallone, that live in Miami have or had their beautiful mansions in the privacy of Star Island. Most of these mansions are oceanfront and have decorated gardens overlooking the ocean waters. There are bay boats which take travelers on tours around Star Island to show off the artists that enjoy the year-round weather in Miami.

Though it is a public neighborhood, Star Island has a guard house at its entrance, giving it the illusion of being an exclusive, private area. However, anyone can enter after stopping at the gate.There is simply one oval of inland public road on the island and no public access to the water.
